Davipharm nurtures next generation of talent in pharma

As Vietnam’s pharmaceutical industry enters a phase of rapid growth and transformation, Davipharm not only focuses on manufacturing high-quality drugs but also on shaping the future of its workforce. The company is going beyond business goals to nurture talent for a sustainable pharmaceutical labor market.

Davipharm  supports high school talents, university students and  own employees to become future pharma leaders. This commitment is rooted in the belief that sustainable growth in healthcare begins with education, training, and people empowerment.

Support from classroom to lab

Since 2019, Adamed (of which Davipharm is a member) has partnered with Vietnam – Poland Friendship High School in Hanoi to run the ADAMED SmartUP program, a unique initiative launched in cooperation with the Embassy of Poland to Vietnam. The program supports the school’s top students with English classes, environmental workshops and scientific webinars with foreign experts, as well as provides the equipment for classrooms and the school’s library.

During this time, over 950 students have participated in six editions of the program, with 15 winners attending science summer camps in Poland.  In the school year 2024/2025, 200 students were selected to participate in the program among over 600 who took part in placement tests. The top 3 outstanding students will travel to Poland mid-August to join a two-week summer camp, featuring workshops and visits to scientific institutes, exploring R&D processes and gaining real-world exposure at Adamed.

Also, since 2020, the company has actively supported thousands of Vietnamese pharmacy students through academic activities with major universities such as Binh Duong Medical College, University of Medicine and Pharmacy HCMC, Van Lang University, University of Health Sciences HCMC, and University of Natural Sciences HCMC.

Through workshops, career orientation events, factory visits, internship programs, and scholarships, Davipharm has been helping students gain real-world exposure and skills aligned with the demands of the pharmaceutical industry.

Talent development from within

In a competitive and rapidly evolving market, talent development has become a strategic imperative. Davipharm’s internal development efforts are robust, with hundreds of employees benefiting from technical training, online learning platforms, and foreign language classes. The continuous training programs on “Certified Investigators” and “Certified Auditors” led by Qualified Person have motivated and recognized outstanding individuals for their excellence.

One of the company’s flagship initiatives is the International Talent Program led by the Adamed Group. In June/July 2025, selected Davipharm employees traveled to Poland for the second learning trip in this program. There, they engaged with Adamed’s leadership, gain knowledge, experience and international best practices in pharmaceutical innovation, and expand their global perspective.

In parallel, Davipharm is executing a Succession Training project that focuses on structured development for future leadership. The program targets mission critical roles such as board of directors and department heads, as well as pivotal roles – key positions that significantly influence business continuity.

Succession planning is more than preparing for retirement or leadership exits, it is a proactive strategy to ensure organizational stability and knowledge transfer in the face of unexpected changes, such as career transitions, market shifts, or internal restructuring. By preparing successors early, Davipharm ensures that the company remains resilient, flexible, and ready for the future.

Through these layered initiatives from grassroots education to advanced leadership training, Davipharm is helping shape a new generation of highly skilled, socially responsible, and globally minded pharma professionals in Vietnam.

As the industry struggles with talent shortages, evolving regulations, and global competition, Davipharm demonstrates that investing in people is not just a social responsibility – it is a smart business. By placing people empowerment at the core of its strategy, the company positiones itself, and Vietnam’s pharmaceutical sector, for sustainable and long-term success.
