Davipharm’s 20 Years Journey: From Humble Beginning to Trendsetting
Established in 2004 with the production factory located in Binh Duong, Davipharm, a member of Adamed Group, has growth from a small local business to one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Vietnam.
Significant Achievements of Sales & Marketing Team
Starting with exclusive distribution channels, Davipharm established its retail and hospital sales teams in June 2020. Initially, the team had just six members, but by 2024, it had grown to 130 members, including Sales, Marketing, and Medical teams. In 2020, Davipharm’s retail presence was limited to fewer than 100 pharmacies. Today, its products are available in 12,000 pharmacies nationwide.

What sets Davipharm apart in the industry, contributing to its growth over the past two decades, is its commitment to offering high-quality products that meet EU-GMP standards and benefit from technology transfers from Adamed Pharma S.A., one of the leading Polish pharmaceutical and biotechnology company. Combined with flexible, professional services tailored to customer needs, Davipharm has established a competitive edge.
Amid the race to build EU-GMP-compliant factories, the trend of M&A between international corporations and domestic pharmaceutical companies, and the renegotiation of drug prices in tenders, Davipharm has maintained a pioneering advantage by providing high-quality products at affordable prices to the market.
In 2021, Davipharm achieved a significant milestone by successfully certifying Vietnam’s first HP Zone for manufacturing high-potency drugs in solid forms, including high-quality oncology drugs. That same year, the company obtained its first EU-GMP certification, becoming one of the few pharmaceutical companies in Vietnam to reach this prestigious quality standard.

The year 2022 marked another remarkable achievement for Davipharm, driven by successful national tenders, with the total value of bids reaching over 700 billion VND. Davipharm’s high-quality products and services gained the trust of healthcare professionals in hospitals and pharmacies nationwide.
According to IQVIA’s report for Q1-2024, compared to the same period a year ago, Davipharm experienced significant growth, with the pharmaceutical market growing by 7% and Davipharm by 28%. In the retail channel, the market grew by 3%, while Davipharm increased its sales by 17%. In the hospital channel, the market grew by 13%, and Davipharm by 37%. Along with marketing activities, increased recognition of high-quality products, and dedicated customer service, this propelled Davipharm to 21st position in the pharmaceutical market rankings. In the domestic market, Davipharm rose to the top 9, and for domestic prescription drugs in the hospital channel, it is now the 5th largest company in terms of sales volume.
Expanding Horizons and Future Strategies
In 2024, Davipharm attended nearly all major scientific conferences held by associations and hospitals across the country, reaching over 2,000 doctors. The company also provided educational programs on diseases and products to 6,000 pharmacies nationwide and participated in both domestic and international pharmaceutical exhibitions.

Product launches primarily focus on cardiovascular health, diabetes, and men’s health. Additionally, Davipharm has set up the website themlauthemdamsau.com, where patients can self-assess their men’s health condition, receive advice via a hotline, and order prescription drugs online. New features have been also added to the loyalty program registration, sales tracking, and bonus estimation for customers.
In collaboration with the Department of Preventive Medicine, Ministry of Health, another year in a row, the company has been offering free NCDs screening and consultations at pharmacies. In 2024, they are executed in Hanoi, Da Nang, Daklak, Nha Trang, Can Tho, and HCMC, with the goal of completing screenings for a total of 10,000 patients.

Looking ahead, the Sales & Marketing has laid out key strategies and initiatives to further enhance sales capabilities and meet evolving market demands. The retail channel aims to have Davipharm products in 20,000 pharmacies, with at least 10 products in each pharmacy. For hospitals, the goal is to become the first choice medicine for doctors, offering internationally recognized quality at affordable prices for Vietnamese patients, thereby reducing their financial burden. Davipharm also aims to be present in most of the key product packages in national tenders.
Davipharm aspires to become a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer and the number one pharmaceutical exporter in Vietnam. The company plans to invest in infrastructure to increase production and storage capacity and develop 12 new SKUs annually for international markets.
The story of Davipharm’s development over the past 20 years is a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to teamwork and flexibility, with everyone working towards a shared vision. This collective effort has led to outstanding results and positioned Davipharm as a key player in the pharmaceutical industry.
