
Production Manager (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)
We are looking for an experienced manager to oversee production operations at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site operating in compliance with EU GMP standards.

Scope of Responsibilities
Production Management
- Planning and supervising the execution of the production schedule
- Ensuring operations comply with EU GMP, WHO GMP, and MOH Vietnam regulations
- Optimizing utilization of machinery, production lines, and resources
- Monitoring key indicators: on time delivery, OEE, productivity, conversion costs, losses, deviations, safety performance
Quality & Compliance
- Maintaining the highest GMP standards
- Collaborating with QA on deviations, CAPA, change control, and audits
- Preparing the site for regulatory GMP inspections
Team Management
- Leading operators and team leaders
- Developing employee competencies
- Actively building a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Process Optimization
- Implementing Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence
- Conducting root cause analyses and implementing improvement actions
- Initiating optimization projects to increasing efficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Close cooperation with: Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Research & Development, Packaging & Lean
Requirements & Experience
- Higher education in pharmacy, chemistry, biotechnology, process engineering, or related fields
- Practical experience in an EU GMP or PIC/S environment
- Technical Knowledge:
- Manufacturing of tablets, capsules, oral liquids (sterile/semi-solid experience is a plus)
- Understanding of HVAC and cleanroom systems
- Equipment qualification and process validation
- Training in pharmaceutical industry standards
- 3–5 years of managerial experience
- Experience in cross-functional or international projects is an advantage
- Working knowledge of ERP & QMS systems is a plus
- Ability to work under time pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Independence and strong sense of ownership
- English — fluent communication
