
Senior Accounting Manager
Job description:
- Oversee the full accounting function, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) (if applicable).
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, general ledgers, and statutory reports.
- Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.

- Work closely with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
- Liaise with tax authorities for audits, inspections, and compliance matters.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and financial regulations, advising senior management on potential business impacts.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to minimize risks of fraud, errors, and misstatements.
- Regularly review accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and company objectives.
- Oversee proper documentation and archiving of financial records for regulatory and audit purposes.
- Supervise accounts payable (AP) processes, ensuring timely and accurate supplier payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable (AR) and ensure effective credit control and collection strategies.
- Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Oversee cost accounting and fixed asset management, ensuring correct depreciation and tracking of capital expenditures.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations, training, and skill development programs to strengthen team capabilities.
- Organize team-building activities to enhance engagement and motivation.
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and production teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with supply chain and warehouse teams for better control over inventory valuation and cost management.
- Partner with the IT department to optimize ERP/accounting systems for improved reporting and automation.
- Support senior management with financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Serve as the primary contact for external and internal audits, ensuring smooth execution.
- Prepare and reconcile audit schedules and address auditor queries.
- Ensure compliance with audit recommendations and continuously improve financial processes.
Job requirement:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting is mandatory.
- Possession of a Chief Accountant training certificate is essential.
- A minimum of 10 years in accounting or finance, with at least five years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (FAST) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is expected.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated professional ethics, honesty, integrity, and a strong commitment to legal compliance are crucial.
- Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels throughout the company.
- Ability to perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
