Davipharm joins hands with Ministry of Health in Noncommunicable Diseases Program “For health of Vietnamese People”

Launching conference for the project “For health of Vietnamese People” in cooperation between Davipharm and the Department of Preventive Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam was held in Hanoi at the Ministry of Health on 10 November.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Health Mr. Tran Van Thuan, with the participation of representatives of the Department of Preventive Medicine, relevant medical associations, leading NCD experts, key hospitals and Davipharm.

“For health of Vietnamese People” is a long-term program jointly organized and implemented by Davipharm and the Department of Preventive Medicine of the Ministry of Health in order to contribute to the objectives of the National Strategy on Prevention of Noncommunicable Diseases, specifically:

  • Improving the capacity of the health care system through training on surveillance, prevention, early detection and treatment of NCDs, and
  • Raising community awareness of NCDs through informative and education activities, risk assessment programs, early detection and lifestyle change counseling for community.

“Effective NCD prevention and control has even more significance during COVID-19 pandemic.”- said Michal Wieczorek, CEO of Davipharm during the conference. “And through this program, Davipharm – a member of Adamed Group, pioneers among the domestic pharmaceutical companies in a long-term commitment and companionship with the Ministry of Health to reduce the burden of NCDs and improve the quality of life of Vietnamese people.” – he added.
